High Voltage Technician 

Overview

Our Volkswagen Norwich Service Centre has just been awarded to become a dedicated Battery Care Centre (BCC) for Volkswagen Passenger Cars and Commercials, SKODA, SEAT and CUPRA and we are looking for the next generation of High Voltage Technicians/Experts. 

If you are interested in battery electric vehicle (BEV) technologies and developing your skills for the future, we would like to hear from you. If you are not already a trained High Voltage Expert (HVE) we will invest in your personal development by enrolling, you on the HVE training programme.

What you will be doing? 

Training and developing as a High Voltage Expert (HVE) 

Providing your expert, technical opinion on battery electric vehicle technologies (BEV) 

Carrying out service, diagnosis and repair of vehicles to excellent standards 

Becoming the expert in Battery Electric Vehicles and training and developing others. 

Maintaining thorough and up-to-date product knowledge 

Adhering to all high voltage technology safe working practices. 

Maintaining exceptionally high customer service levels that lead to customer loyalty and referrals 

Maintaining good housekeeping standards and orderly administration of your work 

What we are looking for? 

If you think you’ve got what it takes and meet the criteria below, then please apply! 

Full UK Driving Licence 

Interest in the future of Battery Electric Vehicle Technologies (BEV) 

Experienced in High Voltage technologies (HVT) or willingness to be trained. 

VAG Accredited Technician would be desirable (Master/Diagnostic Technician level experience is not required to qualify for this role). 

Able to work across multiple VAG brands 

NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance 

Motor Industry experience is essential 

Happy to work independently and as part of a team 

Ability to work to timescales effectively, with a keen eye for detail
